If you have an active algorithm on any of the social media platforrms you will probably hear it said tha A.I is about to be a bubble in 2008 sense. That may be true to an extent. Given the cost of corporate expense on tokens, the A.I adoption is definitely up for review. However, I would caution against seeing A.I as a scam.

No lies, the campaign against A.I is warranted. As above-mentioned, the cost of tokens, the consumption of water and power in data centers, the degree to which data centers are disrupting small town electric and water supply, the unpredictability are all reasons for the average worker and employer to hold their horses. However, while we the scrutiny persists the technnological progress ensues. Much of the productivity we have attained due to A.I has reshaped expectation. Once an accountant can disburse a task to an agent to work on multiple spreadsheets for multiple clients at the same time: Once a solopreneur can revise their business plan via Claude or Chat GPT without waking their friend or partner at 2 a.m; once a filmmaker can have his shot list imaged before he gets to the editing bay or before he even casts the project… you see where I am going. These are markers of progress within a project that would be a distant dream a decade ago.

The above examples are not the scale of corporate accounts you would find at Microsoft, Meta, Oracle or Salesforce. These are small scale businesses that need a high level of productivity is a fast-changing market place for their services and skills. A.I is highly useful the independent entrepreneurs that require a high quality output in order for their operation to stay viable. These are the types of workers and business owners that need and deserve the improvements artificial intelligence via LLM and agents. As we have large corporations offsetting their labor costs much of the labor force will probably come from highly competent independent contractors. Using A.I in such a labor market is essential.

As a content creator who is looking to improve his technical skills, every skillset on the menu has a huge benefit in that you can get AI assist as you learn. This could not be a better time to learn some of the harder technical skills out there. You can sharpen much quicker and solve for errors with explanations that beats the frozen italic text of a college textbook.

It is true that A.I as a sort of gold rush is overblown. Emptying your coffers in order to recoup triple or more within the next fiscal year may be a little to high of an expectation. But industrial adaptation to A.I is not going anywhere anytime soon. While not everyone can afford it at industrial scale, I do not think we can afford to improve industrial expectation without accepting how far A.I has already brought us.

As the saying goes; the only thing constant is change.
